A widespread and highly adaptable short-nosed fruit bat, common around gardens, orchards and disturbed habitat as well as natural forest across much of South and Southeast Asia.
Nocturnal, often roosting in modified leaf tents it constructs by biting through leaf veins, and feeding on a wide variety of cultivated and wild fruit.
