Horsfield's Fruit Bat

One of the larger short-nosed fruit bats in the region, more closely tied to forest and forest-edge habitat than some of its more disturbance-tolerant relatives.

Nocturnal, roosting in dense foliage or modified leaf tents and feeding on fruit and nectar. Distinguished from similar Cynopterus species mainly by size and dental features rather than obvious field marks.
