A small, glossy blue-black swiftlet with a pale grey belly, common and widespread across Sabah including around towns and lodges, not just deep forest.
Feeds on flying insects in fast, continuous flight, often in large mixed flocks with other swiftlets over open ground, rivers and forest clearings.
