A long-winged harrier with a slow, low, tilting flight over open wetlands, males showing contrasting dark and pale grey plumage while females and immatures are largely brown.
A non-breeding migrant to Borneo, quartering rice paddies, marshes and coastal grasslands in search of small vertebrates before returning north to breed.
