A striking harrier, the male boldly patterned in black, white and grey, the female and immature much browner and streaked, hunting low over open ground with a buoyant, rocking flight.
A regular non-breeding visitor to Borneo's grasslands and paddy fields, arriving from northern breeding grounds to spend the boreal winter hunting small mammals and birds.
