One of Borneo's remarkable 'flying snakes' (genus Chrysopelea), able to flatten its body into a concave shape and glide, undulating through the air, between trees — an adaptation independently evolved from the island's gliding lizards and frogs. Marked with a double row of pale bars along the body.
Diurnal and arboreal, hunting lizards and other small vertebrates in the canopy and mid-storey. Mildly rear-fanged venomous, but not considered dangerous to a healthy adult.
