A distinctive Bornean endemic thrush relative, males glossy blue-black and females barred grey-brown, found in the montane forests of the island's higher mountains.
Feeds actively on fruiting trees, often in small groups, moving through the canopy and mid-storey of cool montane forest on Kinabalu and other high ranges.
