Salvadori's Nightjar

A Bornean endemic nightjar restricted to montane forest and forest edge, cryptically patterned in dark brown and buff that renders it nearly invisible on the forest floor by day.

Best detected by its distinctive churring or whistled call at dusk in highland areas, this scarce species is a sought-after target for birders visiting Borneo's mountain ranges.
