A specialised, crab-eating mangrove snake with an elongated, flexible snout used to probe crab burrows in soft mud, feeding almost exclusively on crustaceans.
Nocturnal and semi-aquatic, found on mudflats and in mangrove creeks. Mildly rear-fanged venomous, of little concern to humans given its retiring, mud-dwelling habits.
