A small tree squirrel named for a pale spot marking behind each ear, otherwise a fairly plain brownish squirrel typical of the smaller Callosciurus species found across Borneo.
Diurnal and arboreal, foraging on fruit, seeds and bark in lowland forest. Field identification against similarly sized squirrels generally requires a clear, close view of the ear markings.
