A small, bright olive-yellow spiderhunter with a long curved bill, closely associated with banana plants and ginger flowers in the understorey.
Feeds by probing long tubular flowers for nectar and gleaning spiders from webs, and its loud, sharp calls are a familiar sound of Bornean forest edge.
