Blunt-headed Snail-eating Snake

A slow-moving, nocturnal snake with a genuinely remarkable dietary specialisation — feeding exclusively on snails and slugs, with an asymmetric jaw carrying more teeth on the right side than the left, an adaptation that helps extract snails from the typically right-coiled spiral of their shells.

Found in low vegetation and on tree trunks, moving slowly and deliberately while hunting, entirely harmless to humans.
