A common resident pipit of Borneo's open lowland habitats, streaked brown above and pale below, frequently seen walking through short grass and paddy bunds.
Feeds on insects picked from the ground while walking briskly, frequently bobbing its tail, and is the pipit most likely to be encountered year-round in the region.
