Bushy-crested Hornbill

A dark, relatively plain hornbill with a small bushy crest and a pale bill, one of the smaller and less conspicuously coloured hornbills in Sabah, often overlooked in mixed flocks.

Highly social, moving in noisy groups of a dozen or more birds through the canopy, feeding on fruit and some small animals, with a loud, cackling group call.
